Water heaters are the preferred option for narrowboats. Much like central heating at home, an Eberspacher diesel boiler feeds a heating circuit within the boat. Typically, our Hydronic heaters are used to provide domestic hot water via a calorifier and space heating by traditional radiators. Our heaters can also be used as part of an underfloor heating system. Fan matrix blow heaters are becoming popular too and can be particularly useful where space is at a premium. One or more towel rails connected into the system allow for useful drying space for a boat used all year around, or just for when the British weather does not fully cooperate.

Our smallest 4.3kW Hydronic HS3 D4E heater is often all that is needed to heat the most common lengths of boat, for full length narrowboats we have the 5kW Hydronic HS3 D5E. The two new HS3 heaters have a brushless, long lasting and extremely durable combustion air motor. Technologically advanced, HS3 boasts a stepless, variable heat output from 'high' setting right down to a new 1.3kW low heat output, this low heat setting is particularly useful for reliable summer running, when only domestic hot water is needed.

For the largest wide beam inland craft, we offer the Hydronic MII range available in outputs up to 12kW. We also have the specialist MII D8W heater with twin glow pin ignition and greater fuel quality tolerance, this heater is a good choice for liveaboard boats.
